A collaborative and functional approach to diagnosing and treating tethered oral tissues

We are dedicated to accurately diagnosing and treating oral restrictions including lip and tongue ties. Our goal is to positively impact a child's feeding, speech, sleep, and breathing by addressing tethered oral tissues, orofacial development, and airway concerns. We believe in taking a collaborative, functional, and individualized approach to treatment and are here to support every family throughout the journey.

If you would like to make an appointment for a consultation with one of our doctors, please call our office at (610) 229-0750.

The consultation

Visit our office for a consultation where our specially trained pediatric dentists will examine your child and provide a recommendation. Please allow 60 minutes for the initial consultation as we treat every patient like a member of our family and this time ensures that we will be able to formulate a plan that is right for your child.

The procedure

Your next visit is the treatment visit where our doctors perform the tie release. There will be an opportunity to ask any final questions and our doctors will fully cover post-treatment care with you. You can take your child home safely immediately after the treatment.

Follow-up care

The final step is your child's post-treatment follow-up visits to our office where our doctors will ensure that everything is healing well and everything is functioning properly. Our team is here to support your family with 1 and 2-week follow-up care visits and are always available for any questions or concerns.

Meet our doctors

As “Boy Moms” and board-certified pediatric dentists, Dr. Jackie and Dr. Katie both have had personal experiences with tethered oral tissues in their own families.  These experiences at home have made them uniquely aware of how ties can impact feeding, speech, facial and dental growth, and airway development.

Dr. Jackie and Dr. Katie founded Tied together because they believe in a collaborative and functional approach to treating tongue and lip ties.  They wish to provide a safe space for families to ask questions and receive information on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of tethered oral tissues. They are so thankful for this opportunity to be part of your child’s care.

Dr. Katie Woehling, DMD

Dr. Katie is a mother to three boys, a 6-year-old and 3-year-old twins!  Each of her three boys was born with functional restrictions of his tongue, just like their Dad!  Her children had difficulty breastfeeding and latching, and suffered from reflux, and torticollis.  Together as a team, with a pediatric dentist, lactation consultant, and physical therapist, her boys completed successful tongue tie releases which improved nursing, decreased reflux, and promoted healthy growth and development.  Dr. Katie is forever thankful for the wonderful care she received in the first months of her babies’ lives.

Dr. Jackie Wingate, DMD, MPH

Dr. Jackie is a mother to two boys, a 7-year-old and 5 year-old! She had both of her children in Rochester, NY where tongue ties were not commonly acknowledged and where functional providers were sparse.  She feels that if she had had her boys on the Main Line, she could have had the support necessary to thrive sooner!  Her first son was extremely gassy/fussy with many sleepless nights and a posterior restriction! And her second son suffered from severe reflux that was treated with medication, everting his upper lip during feedings, and upright feedings. If she knew then, what she knows now, her journey could have looked a bit different.  Over the last 5 years, she has loved working with functional providers to offer a non-surgical option for some kids- including her own (both myo and speech)!
